Why is the NPC Friends & Family Annual Fund so important?
In 2013-14, the state of Arizona provided less than a quarter of NPC's annual operating budget. Every penny raised through The Eagle Fund is directly applied to college initiatives that helped to enrich and diversify academic offerings, promote student success and fund exceptional programs to impact the NPC teaching, learning and working environment.
One of the most powerful and immediate ways you can help students is by giving to The Eagle Fund. Annual contributions are more important than you might realize. Tuition only covers about 14 percent of the actual cost of educating an NPC student. NPC serves the two poorest counties in Arizona which is why we strive to keep our tuition rate as low as possible. Access to higher education is out of reach for many here, but your annual gift can help bridge the gap and keep an NPC education within reach of all deserving students.
The Eagle Fund allows us to provide scholarships to students who have financial need that is unmet by financial aid. These are often the students at the highest risk of dropping out.
The annual Eagle Fund campaign contributions of employees, retirees, alumni, friends, and area businesses can make a world of difference.
Many educational programs at Northland Pioneer College are designed to lead directly to employment, mostly with local companies, making NPC vital to the local economies of both Navajo and Apache counties.
NPC continues to be strongly committed to providing a high quality, affordable education along with the services that support the needs of a diverse student body. You can help by supporting the NPC Eagle Fund. Unrestricted gifts are welcome; these funds allow flexibility for the college to allocate support where the need is greatest. If you wish, The Eagle Fund also allows you to support a part of the college that is important to you. You may opt to donate to a specific department or program, or give support to the scholarships you choose.
